Orion provided a brief hisotyr of CA Pirate Party from 2012 until now. Laura nominated bbridge to moderate the meeting. After some brief discussion, we decided on moving forward with interim officer positions (which will be revisited in 6 months). Pirate Party seeks to form government in Iceland

"Iceland's anti-authoritarian Pirate Party took the helm in talks to form a new coalition government for the island nation Friday, after two earlier rounds of negotiations broke down. The Pirates, who seek direct democracy and digital freedom, came third in Iceland's Oct. 29 parliamentary election. California Pirate Party Meeting, Nov 20, 2016

California Pirate Party met on Sunday November 20th, 2016 from 2-4pm. We discussed several structural concerns that need to be addressed immediately. We explored different ways to maintain consistency in address including acquiring PO Box or getting an agent for service of process. The team seems to think we're not able to enroll with a PO Box. We talked about delegating out tasks that may exceed current Pirate scope including seeking pro bono tax attorney and tech guru able to make regular updates to our Weebly website. Iceland’s center-right seeks to govern as Pirates hail gains

The Pirate Party of Iceland had historic results in this year's election. "The Pirates — anti-authoritarian advocates of direct democracy and digital freedom — almost tripled their vote share from 5 percent in 2013 to 14.5 percent, and will get 10 seats in Iceland's parliament, the Althing."
